I bought these shoes because i had been looking for a pair with a buckle for some time. These looked terrific and were at a price i was willing to pay. I was not disappointed. I wore them for an 8 hour work day and had no problems whatsoever. I read the review from unfortunate customer who had a hard time with them, but took the chance because already owned the Matron Boots. I was playing the odds they were made by the same shoe company, and they are. I am completely satisfied with this purchase...but I would like to note 1 Be very careful of scuffing if you want to keep them pristine- they scuff/scratch pretty easily.2 If they are not put on with care, the back will break down very quickly. It's not that the back is poorly made, but the tight angle it takes to put your foot in the shoe. 3 Just like with the Matron Boots, be prepared to walk with your feet turned out! That toe is LONG and takes some getting used to.

The shoes were comfortable the first time I wore them, but the material on the toes started ripping off the same night.

These are a delight to look at, and at first, seem to fit very comfortably on my feet. I got so many compliments on these shows the first time I wore them - which was, unfortunately, the last time as well. I had them on about four hours and when I got home and took them off, my ankles and insteps were incredibly swollen. Now, we all have different feet, and maybe you will not have the same experience. However, I did want to share my story. It wasn't that I bought the wrong size, it was that they really bind and have no give whatsoever. I had purchased the higher-heeled version of these, and they did not present the same problem, but if you look at them, they are more forgiving over the instep.

I'd admired these shoes for a long time and finally ordered. Unfortunately, they were not a proper fit for me and I had to return them. I have a very high instep and the shoes just don't accommodate that structure.
