So pretty, but wore them ONCE for just an hour, on capreted floors and velvet upper started to pull away from the sole on one slipper. Have returned.

These slippers are pretty to look at however, the quality is not good. I wore them one time and the material on one side of one of the slippers was coming apart for whatever reason. The other slipper was fine. I'm not sure if the seam was missed in sewing, but for the price they should not have done this.

I'm in the minority here with the other glowing reviews of these slippers. When I opened them, I was disappointed by the whole look. Flimsy, the bows were semi-permanently bent... not great workmanship. Had planned on this being the main Christmas present for a niece, but these have been downgraded to a stocking stuffer. Definitely not a $50 item. Honestly, to my eye, these look like something you'd see in a bin in a big box store.

With our concrete sub-floor I was looking forward to getting these pretty slippers to wear around the house this winter. I was so disappointed when I received them though because they run quite large and the fit felt sloppy. They don't come up over the top of the toes or the heel enough to have a secure feeling fit, even when they aren't over-sized and I even tried it with thick socks on. Due to the fit issues I would have never trusted these on the stairs either, which kind of defeated the purpose since I was wanted slippers I could just put on and leave on in the house. I also think that for the overall construction, etc. they are way over-priced; you are definitely paying for that victorian feel. In the end, I ended up returning them.
