A sublime chemise is the grandchild of a fragile beauty that hung within a vintage shop. If it could speak, witnessed tales of romance, and scandal would intrigue...but for now, the dainty reproduction gown must forego stories of its own. Receptions, luncheons, showers, symphonies and ballets await the timelessly beautiful dress. Dress has taupe under-lining with sheer black overlay and is embroidered with inset lace and bias-cut flounces. 100% Nylon. Lining 100% Rayon. Imported. Dry Clean Only.

shoddy construction
Very disappointed in the construction of this dress but I thought I could repair the underdress to make the ruffles straight. Turned out to be more difficult than I thought without making it obvious that I had TRIED. Very sloppy construction. As another reviewer said however if the overdress which is completely sheer could be paired with something else you might end up happy with the purchase.

Flawed Perfection
I purchased the dress to wear to my daughter''s wedding. I found it to be a great choice for the most part but there were serious things to consider and VT should have made them clear.First the model wearing the dress cannot possibly be less than5''9 tall. If you''re short like I am then it will graze your instep or be so long you may have to find a way to shorten it.Next the makers put all the efforts in the black lace overdress which is exquisite and makes the whole garment. The taupe underdress is cheaply made and it shows. The black ruffles around the hem are sewn onto the dress in a very haphazard way and may or may not be even. There is a most unfortunate slit up the front which is meant to look sexy and merely looks shoddy. Those black ruffles are not tacked down to the edge of the slit and do not move gracefully. I solved the problem by sewing the slit closed. Unfortunately since the ruffles were so uneven a good bit of adjustment turned out to be necessary.Still once a

felt like a grand lady
I wore this to my friends wedding that was held on an estate that was built betwee 1900 and 1920. I also purchased your black lace parasol to complete the look. I had people complementing me on the look all day long. I was stopped by people all during the wedding and reception wanting me to pose for a picture and many more snapped pictures when I wasn''t looking. The photographer asked for some pictured for their portfolio and the venue itself has asked permission to display my picture in the garden.I felt like a celebrity and it was all due to your beautiful dress and parasol. Wow how fun was that. Thank you so much for remembering what a lady should look like.
