Souvenir Photo Book Lockets
I have been collecting these unique, antique French Souvenirs for many years. Actually, instead of containing locks of hair, they were miniature photo albums.Upon opening, eight or sometimes ten, tiny photos would pull out of the locket, accordion-style.At the turn of the century, tourists visiting cities, pilgrimage centers Lourdes, Lisieux, etc would purchase these tiny photo books as souvenirs of their trip. Great Britain also had a similar souvenir. At one time, finding these antiques was rather easy inexpensive but they are getting more difficult to locate.
