The Complete Irish Pub Cookbook

Having visited Ireland several times and just recently in the past three months, I decided to surprise my wife with this cookbook. We looked forward to some of these dishes and assumed a variety of soup dishes would be available. There is ONE, only ONE, recipe for soup in this book. During our last three week visit, we counted eleven different types of soups. And we ate in the pubs from Dublin to Glendalough, to Cashel,to Killarney, to Clare County, to Cong, to Meath County. This book is a sad disappointment.

What a great selection of recipes! I looked through the entire book when it came in and I couldn't wait to make something from it!!! The first thing I made was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to make some more.

My family owned a pub in Ireland for 400 years, so I was interested in what this book might include. It has a lovely selection of soups, sides and main courses. The ingredients are for the most part, at hand. I found quite a few newer recipes and loved the fresh ingredients and easy preparation for most of the recipes.I love the stews and soups the most and how the slow cooking develops the flavors. The photographs of the food and of Ireland were like taking a quick vacation. A nice pint while cooking also enhanced the experience.

I purchased four copies of this and I am so glad that I did. One to each of my restaurants, one for my son, one for myself. Perfect for my farm-to-table restaurants. Creative yet simple recipes. Absolutely stunning photographs of Ireland. This book will be used way beyond the month of March.

I teach a cooking class and needed authentic recipes. Can't wait to test these out, it seems to be a very user friendly cookbook.
