I have had these a long time and I like them. They are kind of hard initially, but they do soften w/ repeated washings have held up well. The crochet lace is pretty, but it will shrink up so you need to iron it after washing if you want them to look like the ones in the photo. Well, if you want them looking like the photo, you will have to iron all them too as they are not really perma press like conventional sheets are. The fitted one is not real deep if you have a thicker mattress- I used a memory foam pad on top the fitted sheet will pop off. All in all I like them they really do get very soft in time. If you are sensitive you might want to launder them a couple times before using to soften them.

I love this bedding!! I'm a passionate collector of antique linens, fabrics and lace. I have sheets that at 100+ years old that I use every day. The sheets I ordered compliment them perfectly! They are wonderful cotton and wash beautifully! I didn't even have to iron them. They came out of the dryer perfect! Sleeping on them is a dream. These will surely stand the test of time and be passed down with the other treasured bedding I own. Love you Victorian Trading Co. for making these available!

I thought these were so beautiful in the online catalog... It was a romantic gift to me and my husband.I awakend hearing my husband complaining about the quality of the sheets. He said they felt like burlap rather than fine cotton. He said, I can't sleep on these rough sheets. And he went to sleep in our guest room.My feelings were hurt... and then I couldn't sleep either the rest of the night.I won't buy sheets from Victorian Trading Company again.Sad at heart...
