Old World Candle Garland
A myriad glinting stars shone through the snow-laden fir branches thus inspiring the tradition. Good Queen Charlotte introduced this German custom to England in Windsor Castle in 1800. Pre-dating electricity, care was taken to illuminate the fresh fir with tiny tapers that rested in golden discs to catch the wax drippings.

My parents had these on our tree when I was a little girl. Over time, each strand had to be thrown away. After 20 + years there is still one strand left. When I saw these on the site, I felt like a little kid again, all those memories coming back. I can't wait to start collecting my own, so I have enough for my tree/garland. Perfect item if you love the candle affect in your home.

Sent them back. Very disappointed in the quality. The fastener kept popping off and they wouldn’t stay upright.

Better than expected. So warm, charming and of good quality. It's the perfect mood for a Victorian Tree without the hazards of candles. Highly recommended.

I love these lights I got others last year and they looked lovely on the tree. I also got your bubble lights I wasn't really pleased with the multi-coloured lights as one socket wouldn't light up and some wouldn't bubble. The gold bubble lights were wonderful and did their part to make my tree lovely. Thank you.
