Old World Candle Garland
A myriad glinting stars shone through the snow-laden fir branches thus inspiring the tradition. Good Queen Charlotte introduced this German custom to England in Windsor Castle in 1800. Pre-dating electricity, care was taken to illuminate the fresh fir with tiny tapers that rested in golden discs to catch the wax drippings.

I absolutely love these 5 sets of three candles. The candle tops are pretty and very real looking and they look perfect on my tree. If you have a large tree you make want to get two sets.

Love them! I have them on a mantle with pine boughs and holly berries. They are darling. Going to buy more to put on my tree next year.

These are just lovely and I am so excited about decorating my tree this year!! I love the soft, golden light, it really does suggest the ambience of real candles without the danger. I will send a picture of my tree after we put it up next Saturday, Dec. 10th.

I have seen them in the catalog for 3 years and just bit the bullet and bought more Christmas Decoration. I can't wait to put up the tree. I knew 1 strand would not be enough so I bought 3. I may want more.

I LOVE these lights!! They have a sweet vintage look and gave my tree an extra special pop! The only thing is that there aren't very many on one strand. Each strand has 5 clusters of 3 candles. I loved them so much though, that I bought 3 strands for my skinny tree!
