Description
The December notion of an embellished tree rescued from the snowy woods was born from Martin Luther's winternight's trek through the forest.

A myriad glinting stars shone through the snow-laden fir branches thus inspiring the tradition. Good Queen Charlotte introduced this German custom to England in Windsor Castle in 1800. Pre-dating electricity, care was taken to illuminate the fresh fir with tiny tapers that rested in golden discs to catch the wax drippings.

Okay but small
Very nice piece, but not very big meaning they don't cover much on the tree. I have had several similar lights for 20 years. These were quality, but the lights are too closely wired together. It would take about 10 sets to do a 6 ft tree.

very disappointed
We were very disappointed in these. The clips slip off easily, making it very hard to mount them, or to get them to stay upright. The wires between candles are so short that it is impossible to show a balanced look on a tree. Finally, there is a plug on only one end, so you can't chain several strings together. Every string has one end that you have to plug into a power cord, or all of the strings have to meet at one point, so that you can connect them to one cord. Cannot recommend these at all.

Making Days Merry and Bright
We were quite pleased with the warm and old-time look of these lights. They seem well-made and give a homey look to our traditional decorations.

old world charm
Beautiful string of 5 candle-trios. They seem well-made and give off a nice amber light. 2 things that could be improved the candles come off their clips really, really easily, and it makes it tricky to get them to stay on straightthey tend to lean; and they could use a little more space in between the clusters. I put them on a 4-ft tree, and it was impossible to stretch them far enough to give the tree a balanced look. I made it work, but to be used to their full glorious potential, you need multiple strings of them and at $20 each, that would get expensive really fast. Still love them and really glad I bought them. Maybe next year I'll spring for another set.

Candles for holiday decor
In addition to lighting your tree, try these along a mantle piece or across a dining room table clipped to an evergreen garland to hide the wires. Fresh evergreens and candlelight is a lovely combination but real candle flames and flammable evergreens are not. These lights will safely and charmingly add light to any traditional holiday decor.
