I am in love with this robe. The velour is delicately plush. The ruffles of lace are exquisite, my favorite being the rose details, and soft. No scratchy plastic-y lace here! The inside seam ties fasten quite nicely and hold the bow well, as does the outside belt, which, yes, is stayed by little belt loops on either side of the robe. This robe does have a long train, but that was to be expected. I may fasten a little bustle hook if I decide to wear this anywhere else from the comforts of my home so I won't sacrifice the gorgeous train to the horrors of the world. If you're concerned about sizing, I would actually say size down! I'm 5'8 and often wear a Large in clothing, or extra large, and the Small/Medium fits me like a dream. This is luxurious and elegant. Well worth it!

This dressing gown is everything I hoped it would be. It is soft and flows out perfectly.

I wanted this gown for a very long time before I was able to afford it, and was so excited that I bought it in the summer heat. It's very warm, the material is softer and thicker than I expected. I'm 5' 3 and purchased the small/medium, and the sleeves fit fine and the train pools a good foot on the ground in every direction. It's every bit as overdramatic as I had hoped, I have a lot of fun swirling it around like a cartoon villain when I wear it. One thing that's hard to tell from the photos is that the sleeves use a different design of lace in each layer, which I think is a nice touch. It shipped with a garment bag for protection, and as other reviewers have noted, the color is an off-white, not the ivory shown in most of the pictures

The pictures does not do the dress justice, to be honest. The actual thing is far more beautiful than it looks in the picture. Sure it's not detailed as the original one but let's face it that one could cost a fortune. The lace is good and the other parts which seems to be white plain cloth in the picture is actually kind of towel-like, which is comfortable of course. Do I feel like Christine Daa in this? I certainly do. Thanks to this dress.
