I bought a large in this coat and was disappointed that it was too small. I sent it back and crossed my fingers that the extra large would fit. I have a 46 bust. It fit beautifully. The ties at the waist allowed me a custom fit. This is a very nice quality wool blend that is not to heavy. Mine was slightly wrinkled from shipping so I went over it with a hand steamer. It looks great. I love the unique style. Customer service was patient and helpful. it also comes with a storage cover for summer. If you have a large bust get the extra large.

I fell in love with this coat when I saw it on the website because it's so unique but hesitated to order based on the reviews about size. I finally decided to order a M which is what I normally wear. The top part of the coat is true to size the bottom is roomy but the corset laces in the back let you cinch in the waist so it fits me perfectly. I totally recommend this it's nicely constructed and the fabric is beautiful. I'm glad I got it.

As a Sherlock Holmes fan I was thrilled to find this character coat which references that time period while staying classy and feminine. I look forward to wearing this coat all fall and winter. For prospective buyers here are some of my thoughts as previous reviews mention the packaging this coat arrives in is full of quality and care. The coat itself is soft and doesn't have the tweedy-texture I pictured with the laces fully tightened it comes in nicely at the waist. I'm 5'2 110lbs and ordered the extra small which fits well although the sleeves are about an inch and a half longer than I'd like. It falls just a smidge below my knees. The upper buttons are tighter than the lower row. The pockets are designed to sit slimly on the hips and are only accessible from the top which is awkward but looks better than angled pockets. I think I'll leave mine sewn shut and just not use them. The collar does hold up as in the picture which will be nice on windy days.A final note I fell in love

I am between a M and an S with a larger chest and small waist. The instructions said to order down if unsure so I did and got a small. Unfortunately I cannot close the top buttons but it fits perfectly at the waist. I have had problems here before ordering a M - it ended up being VERY large - so I figured this was foolproof. I will try exchanging it for a M and using the corset to cinch the waist the way I would like it. It is a beautiful unique coat but I have to give it 2 stars because the fit is so strange.

i'm 5'8 135 lbs. i ordered the small because i am small boned especially in the upper body.the beautiful packaging quality of the coat led me to quickly remove the tags convinced it was the perfect coat.then i realized the upper back chest were too tight. i had the 4 buttons reduced to 2 had them moved to give my chest more roomthe upper back is tight when i put my elbows together in front of me but the shoulder seams are perfect in a larger size would make my shoulders look wider than they are. also the circumference of the shoulder is too large creating a gap between me the coat. between the gap in the side of the bust the tight front of the bust the coat creates the illusion that my chest is flatter wider than it actually is - definitely not the feminine look i expected from an old-fashioned women's riding coat style. i will likely reduce it to a single button between my chest waist - between the original two rows of buttons.there is a significant discrepancy between th
