Beautiful Dreamer Velvet Slippers (Burgundy)
Fashion history credits Prince Albert with popularizing the velvet slipper in the 19th c. as a comfortable and comely house shoe designed to keep feet warm while also protecting expensive wool rugs and wood floors from scuffs and muck. Dubbed "Albert Slippers," they were generally made of velvet or silk and featured decorative embroidery on the toe. This is our feminine variation on Albert's theme, and we daresay Queen Victoria would approve.
