Cole's English Privilege Christmas Pudding
The oldest recipes are attributed to Mrs. Beeton in her ""Book of Household Management."" She included "A Plain Christmas Pudding For Children" which omitted a wine-glassful of brandy from the batter.
In Literature. . .
"In half a minute Mrs. Cratchit entered - flushed, but smiling proudly - with the pudding, like a speckled cannon-ball, so hard and firm, blazing in half of half-a-quartern of ignited brandy, and bedight with Christmas holly stuck into the top."
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, 1843.

Get out the fine china and silver and share a few special moments with your special someone. We used the six servings for three special tea times in our retirement. A special thank you from my husband of 50 years who adores these desserts.
