Miraculous Medal Necklace
Also known as the "Medal of Our Lady of Graces," this design born of divine inspiration originated in 1830 when the Blessed Mother appeared to Sister Catherine Labouré in Paris. As the story goes, Sister Labouré woke up after hearing a child''s voice calling her to the chapel. There she was visited by the Virgin Mary who told her, ""God wishes to charge you with a mission. You will be contradicted, but do not fear; you will have the grace to do what is necessary."
That November, Catherine reported that the Blessed Mother returned during evening meditations, presenting herself inside an oval frame, standing upon a globe. She wore many rings set with gemstones that cast rays of light across the globe. Sister Labouré noticed however that certain gemstones did not cast light. She asked why and Mary replied "those are the graces for which people forget to ask."" Around the frame appeared the words "Ô Marie, conçue sans péché, priez pour nous qui avons recours à vous" (""O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee""). As Catherine watched, further details were revealed such as a circle of twelve stars, a large letter M surmounted by a cross, and depictions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus crowned with thorns and the Immaculate Heart of Mary pierced with a sword. Mary then instructed her to take these images to her confessor and tell him that they should be put on medallions with the promise that "all who wear them will receive great graces." Sister Catherine did so, and after two years of investigation and observation of Catherine's life, the priest took the information to his archbishop without revealing Catherine's identity. The request was approved and medallions were designed and produced through goldsmith Adrien Vachette.

The necklace is of poor quality. It gave me a rash around my neck when wearing it. No mention of what it is made of. I would have requested a refund but unable to find the return paperwork at this time. Not up to your company's usual good standard. Sure wish i could have my $ back.
