On July 5th, 2009, Terry Herbert unearthed the largest hoard of Anglo-Saxon treasure ever found. Comprised of over 1500 pieces of gold and silver, the collection dates back to the 7th and 8th centuries. Inspired by a large gold and garnet cross in this hoard, Cornwall jeweler St. Justin created a cross using a Bronze Age method of fusing copper and Cornish tin. The result is an intricately embossed, beautiful design set with a central ruby crystal.
