Toxic Teacup And Saucer - You Have Been Poisoned
Historically renowned as the "Black Widow", Mary Ann Cotton spooned arsenic into the tea of three unsuspecting husbands and two lovers. Who, after all, would suspect a nurse? And a quite handsome one at that?
Her affinity for insurance premiums exceeded any longings for a soulmate.
Her true tale is as chilling as the chamomile that sits for hours on a January day.
Upon several sips, the foreboding message "You have been poisoned." is visible through the amber brew thereby raising eyebrows as to ones pending fate. An opulent European china pattern cannot distract from such grave concerns.
- Verdant, poison-ivy green design.
- White porcelain.

Such a delicate looking cup and sauce with such a deliciously evil surprise at the bottom. Got one for a gift and one for myself.

I receive this as a gift and it was so lovely I bought 4 more and gave them as gifts. It's a beautiful teacup and it gets the best reaction when read.

This teacup is adorable, clever, and practical. It is not thin and fragile; it is study and well made. The flowers and gold gilding are beautiful and of course the message inside will be a surprise for all your guests with a good sense of humor. Use black tea rather than white or green so the message is disguised till the last sip.

I love the delicate features of the teacup and saucer and the beautifully written script in the teacup. I purchased a second one for my son, whom is a great admirer of such oddities and he too displays it with pride. Quite the surprise to all whom drink from it!!
