Toxic Teacup And Saucer - You Have Been Poisoned
Historically renowned as the "Black Widow", Mary Ann Cotton spooned arsenic into the tea of three unsuspecting husbands and two lovers. Who, after all, would suspect a nurse? And a quite handsome one at that?
Her affinity for insurance premiums exceeded any longings for a soulmate.
Her true tale is as chilling as the chamomile that sits for hours on a January day.
Upon several sips, the foreboding message "You have been poisoned." is visible through the amber brew thereby raising eyebrows as to ones pending fate. An opulent European china pattern cannot distract from such grave concerns.
- Verdant, poison-ivy green design.
- White porcelain.

I bought this as a gift and I was so glad I did! She loved it so much that i ordered one for me and another for her! The quality is amazing and packaging is very nice. So worth the money!!! Very very happy with this item.

A great addition to my cup collection, always a surprise and a laugh from guests. Cup is pretty enough to meld in with the others but wish design extended all around the cup, it only goes to the handles. But a good purchase, I'm happy.

I ordered four of these teacups because I am a Halloween maniac. These are great for after meal deception! They arrived today and one of the cups was broken. I am rating four stars due to this because the box only had a very small fragile sticker on the side.If the entire box is breakable, then fragile stickers should be in view on all parts of the box.I'm pending surgery and now have the hassle of sending it back for a replacement. Still however, they are a great little entertainment piece, and I do love VTC.linda

The cup is not as thin as I expected. But the effect of the final message has been the hit of several parties.

I am quite disappointed in the poison tea cup. The script at the bottom of the cup is a not crisp or dark as pictured in the inset. The script is a light, shadowy, pale gray and barely legible. The gold line and flowered rim at the top of the cup is uneven and doesn't meet properly at the seam. The colors are far more muted than they appear in the photo. Seriously, this looks like a second and I certainly paid a high price for something so poorly finished. I only give the 2 stars because the packaging was outstanding. I had wanted to purchase at least 4 for a tea party. I am now glad I just ordered one first to see the quality. Loved the concept, but so disappointed in the execution. It could have been GREAT!
