Toxic Teacup And Saucer - You Have Been Poisoned
Historically renowned as the "Black Widow", Mary Ann Cotton spooned arsenic into the tea of three unsuspecting husbands and two lovers. Who, after all, would suspect a nurse? And a quite handsome one at that?
Her affinity for insurance premiums exceeded any longings for a soulmate.
Her true tale is as chilling as the chamomile that sits for hours on a January day.
Upon several sips, the foreboding message "You have been poisoned." is visible through the amber brew thereby raising eyebrows as to ones pending fate. An opulent European china pattern cannot distract from such grave concerns.
- Verdant, poison-ivy green design.
- White porcelain.

I ordered four of these teacups because I am a Halloween maniac. These are great for after meal deception! They arrived today and one of the cups was broken. I am rating four stars due to this because the box only had a very small fragile sticker on the side.If the entire box is breakable, then fragile stickers should be in view on all parts of the box.I'm pending surgery and now have the hassle of sending it back for a replacement. Still however, they are a great little entertainment piece, and I do love VTC.linda

The cup is not as thin as I expected. But the effect of the final message has been the hit of several parties.

A great addition to my cup collection, always a surprise and a laugh from guests. Cup is pretty enough to meld in with the others but wish design extended all around the cup, it only goes to the handles. But a good purchase, I'm happy.

My sister came over for Christmas tea and she fell in love with these teacups. She said she would order some for her tea parties and get the teapot, sugar and creamer as well.

I bought this one for my wife. She came home and saw it sitting on the kitchen counter. I heard her gasp and say It's beautiful! - then I heard the laugher as she read the bottom of the cup.Our church puts on an annual Ladies Tea I play the role of photographer and help her get it organized. I'm sure that she will have fun with this at next year's tea.It really is beautifully made - get one and have some fun with it.
