Toxic Teacup And Saucer - You Have Been Poisoned
Historically renowned as the "Black Widow", Mary Ann Cotton spooned arsenic into the tea of three unsuspecting husbands and two lovers. Who, after all, would suspect a nurse? And a quite handsome one at that?
Her affinity for insurance premiums exceeded any longings for a soulmate.
Her true tale is as chilling as the chamomile that sits for hours on a January day.
Upon several sips, the foreboding message "You have been poisoned." is visible through the amber brew thereby raising eyebrows as to ones pending fate. An opulent European china pattern cannot distract from such grave concerns.
- Verdant, poison-ivy green design.
- White porcelain.

I love this beautiful and amusing teacup which will be given as a gift.If you have a bit of twisted or literary sense of humor you will love it too! Well made, arrives in a lovely gift box and will no doubt delight your friends when they sip to the bottom!

While the interior message was enough for me to buy the cup, the product itself is a very durable, strong clay, so avoids the dainty fragility of other teacups, and also sports very pretty floral and gold decoration on the outside. It's a lovely cup that withstands daily use without losing its sense of humor at the bottom of every serving.

I bought two of these and they are lovely. Cannot wait for my next tea party to use them and see the looks on my friends' faces!

I bought this for my best friend, who is going through a tough time right now. It will make her laufgh every time she reaches the bottom of the cup. It came quickly, it was beautifully packaged and just as it looked in the online catalog.

what an elegant little cup. extremely dainty, swirled with florets and very presentable. however, if you want to keep the hidden message anonymous to the last drop, you might choose to steep a black leaf blend! i really liked how quickly i received the cup. and how carefully it was packed. the cup and saucer were firmly secured in a lovely gift box. my tea drinking friend will cherish this on her birthday, especially with it's wry dark humour!
