English Garden Sugar Cubes (Set Of 18)
#75 TE 7529693
$12.95
Description
Long ago, a "sugar nipper" was used to pinch off a chunk from a sugar loaf to sweeten tea. This tedious ritual forced otherwise refined tea-drinkers to fish the lump from their cup after partially dissolved.
An exasperated Austrian woman beseeched her husband to devise a single serving sugar. In 1843, the Swiss-born owner of a beet sugar refinery employed women to crank out 10 tons of cubes a day- much to Vienna's delight. Perched upon the saucer, iced flowers sweeten both tea and conversation.

English Garden Sugar cubes
they look like the picture, I wish they were prettier. the cubes are bigger than regular sugar cubes but they look just like the picture, so why expect more.

Surprised by how much I like these
Ordered these as a treat to myself. I love them. I drink tea and let myself enjoy a cube or two per pretty cup. They make me so happy. Very pretty! I will order these again. Also make me want to have a tea party to show them off.

fine
Sugar cubes look very good except that they are a bit large, and they are not a nice white colour.
