Crystal Prism Bobeches (Pair)
Circa 1855 France, the clever crystal disc was placed around a drippy taper to catch candle drippings thereby protecting lace cloths and furnishings from damage. The glass collar offers a central opening through which a candle is inserted into a candleholder.
The concept was further embellished with dangling prisms, and fanciful etched motifs popularized in Europe. Electrified chandeliers continue to mimic the candlelit candelabras with decorative bobeches on every arm.
Candle and candlestick not included.
- Includes 2 glass bobeches.
- Beveled chandelier.

I received only to find both not put together. I had to repair both. Not very happy.

Not the greatest quality. One arrived with the prisms detached, and I had to fix it.

Second purchase. Not as well made as the first. Metal is not a silver color as shown in the picture. Looks rusted. Orange versus silver. Attachment on glass is not smooth like the first purchase. Has a very noticable metal loop. Only one loop strand. Previous ones had two loops. Due to the rusted color of the metal parts I will not be using them. Not pleasant to look at. Very cheap looking.

I love these bobeches but am disappointed that the chain used to connect the beads rusts terribly. I have not kept these in a damp location; they are on candles on my fireplace mantel. They should be wiped only with a damp cloth. Do not rinse them or use windex because they will rust. Disappointed with this finding.
