Woods At Dusk Lamp

There were negative comments about this lamp being orange rather than amber, so I almost didn't order. Knowing that, I was prepared to receive an orange lamp. I love orange, so it was fine with me. It really doesn't look a lot like the picture in the catalog, but I still love the warm glow of the lamp in the autumn.

This is a lovely lamp. However, the lamp doesn't look like thepicture in the catalog. The shade doesn't cover some of theelectrical area and I put a amber bulb in to make it look morelike the picture.

There are no 'memories of a winter stroll' in this piece. Even a 40 watt bulb produces a over-powering glare that dominates the room. Perhaps a 20 watt bulb would tone down the glare and at least make the lamp functional. Very disappointing1741

The lamp produces GLARE not a vision of dusk. Perhaps a 25 watt bulb will lessen the glare and make the thing reasonably usable. The best alternative is to save your money.

I am so disappointed. I've been excited to purchase this lamp only to receive it and find that what I thought was a beautiful amber colored lamp is actually a very bright orange paint with hideous green trees. The painting also looks very sloppy. It looks OK when lit but when turned off it looks very cheap. This is going back.
